What types of vehicles do you rent?

Our fleet includes off-road-ready Sprinter vans, overland-equipped Sprinters, rugged pickup trucks, truck + camper combos, and towable trail-tough campers — all designed for adventure on or off the beaten path.

Who typically rents from Open Field ?

Digital nomads, retirees, weekend explorers, solo travelers, couples, families — if you’re craving freedom and the outdoors, we’ve got a ride for you.

Do I need a special license to drive a Sprinter or truck camper?

Nope! A standard driver’s license is all you need.

How do I book a rental?

You can book directly through our website by selecting your preferred dates and vehicle type. Easy as a tailgate beer.

Can I take the vehicle off-road?

Yes! All of our rigs are off-road capable. Just avoid extreme terrain (rock crawling, water crossings, etc.) unless the vehicle is specifically built for it. We’ll go over limits during pickup.

Can I take the vehicle out of state?

Absolutely. Domestic travel throughout the U.S. is allowed. For Canada or Mexico, reach out to us first.

Can I tow with your trucks?

All of our trucks are tow-capable. Let us know what you’re towing so we can confirm weight limits and hitch compatibility.

Are pets allowed?

Yes — we’re pet-friendly! Just clean up before drop-off and keep Fido from chewing the seatbelts, please.

Can I bring my own gear (bikes, kayaks, etc.)?

Totally. Most vehicles have roof racks or hitch mounts. Let us know what you’re packing so we can make sure you’re equipped.

Is insurance included?

We offer multiple coverage options at checkout. If you’re using your own policy or credit card insurance, check with your provider to make sure it covers camper or off-road vehicles.

What if something breaks or I get stuck?

We provide 24/7 roadside assistance and full trip support. We'll also walk you through what to do if something goes sideways.

Where do I pick up and return the vehicle?

Pickup is by appointment at our designated hub (we'll provide details when you book). Drop-off is at the same location unless pre-arranged otherwise.

What’s your fuel and cleaning policy?

Return the vehicle with the same fuel level and clean inside/out. We offer post-trip cleaning packages if you’d rather not worry about it.
